Wonder Mom Spotlight is a chance to shine the light on one of our Wonder Mom Success Club members with 7 questions so that you can get to know them too.

One of the things I love about running the Wonder Mom Success Club is the diverse talent in the club. This month we are meeting Nina, mom of three who helps parents connect better with their kids.

WELCOME NINA, CAN WE START WITH YOU TELLING US A BIT ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS Tiny Hearts Happy Hearts?

Hi! I run Tiny Hearts Happy Hearts which is where I share my passion about supporting parents and educators in working on the connection with their children and building stronger relationships.

To empower both adults and children I offer language learning tools that also focus on building up emotional intelligence.

My dream is that all children grow feeling loved, supported, and accepted as they explore the world around them; that they learn through deep connection.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED WITH THIS BUSINESS?

I was born and raised in Bulgaria, my interest in languages and foreign cultures brought me to China, where I got my bachelor’s degree. I called Shanghai my home before moving to Japan with my Japanese husband where we live now and raise our three boys.

Growing up I loved studying and I have gone through the traditional schooling system. I am now fascinated by the endless opportunities we have these days and all the options of conventional and non-conventional schooling.

Going through my own experiences of studying abroad, teaching languages, translating, interpreting, coordinating tours, managing staff, I have learned that

  • We are all wired differently
  • Have different styles of learning
  • We all long for connection
  • We thrive (and learn best) when we feel supported and respected
  • We all like to play

So now I create resources for hands-on activities that focus on the adult-child connection and emotional intelligence.

I love working with children- observing them, following their pace and learning style, gently guiding them. Working as a teacher in the classroom and working at home with my own kids, I have been experiencing a constant flood of ideas of hands-on learning.

I started creating versatile printables, in English and Bulgarian, that can be easily used for home studies or as classroom activities and easily adapted to meet individual needs, levels and interests.

WHAT DO YOU FIND MOST CHALLENGING WITH YOUR BUSINESS?

That is only me (changing that soon and adding helpers to my team).

Prioritizing! I want to support you in many different ways and I struggle to decide with what to start!

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS?

The creativity, the fun, the endless opportunities!

Being able to connect with beautiful souls- curious, vibrant, always learning and growing!

HOW DO YOU USE YOUR CREATIVITY IN YOUR BUSINESS?

Creativity is like breathing- we are always creating!

And just like with controlled breathing, with controlled creativity we nurture our souls and shine our light to the world.

Creativity for me is silly singing (even though I am a terrible singer), doodling, writing, daydreaming.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WISH YOU HAD LEARNED EARLIER IN YOUR BUSINESS JOURNEY?

Allowing more joy and fun, releasing some of the stress that comes with deadline delays (it is an ongoing battle)

HOW HAS BEING A WONDER MOM HELPED YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY?

Structure!!!

Structure in my business, at home, with my kids!

Clear goals!

Accountability and a supportive family that is priceless for the solopreneur! Focusing on my accomplishments, allowing joy and fun, taking one step after the other!

It is a great opportunity and honour to be part of The Wonder Mom community.

I would not even have started if it was not for My Wonder Mom family.
